I was told that moving your home to a new area of Texas would prove to be an exciting adventure. However, I was a bit skeptical because I understood that “exciting” doesn’t always mean “enjoyable”! Trust me, some of the most exciting things in my life are events that I would not rather have to go through again. I was hoping that moving to a new location didn’t rank among those unpleasant experiences. So I was determined to take each step one at a time and move very carefully through this new “adventure”.

So, I took off some time from work in order to plan the relocation. This was necessary – especially when you consider some of the fragile items that would be a part of the moving process. There was no way that I was going to rush through things, only to pay the price once I arrived at my destination. For me, this meant that I was going to pack the really delicate items myself and leave the other things to a professional moving company. You know, one of the reasons why I do so much shopping online has to do with the fact that I hate driving around town – especially when there’s a lot of traffic. This always seems to be the case on my days off. By the time I get to the store that I want, I’m already tired and in no mood to deal with salespeople. With the help of the Internet, I was able to research quite a few moving companies before I created a short list of potential movers to help me out.
